Who We Are

SARi CONNECTiONS is a design-led materials venture developing responsible alternatives to legacy plastics and high-footprint substrates. We specialize in bamboo/rivercane–based composites and algae-derived polymers, translating cutting-edge bio-innovation into beautiful, durable consumer products and built-environment solutions.

(1) UNiTY DiSCS - Product line of flying discs manufactured to the ULTIMATE FRISBEE specifications, but utilizing recycled, recyclable, and/or a suitable bio-based and renewable alternative derived from macroalgae (kelp)

(2) MALiBU's in the KiTCHEN - Product line of tableware products produced with a food SAFE and FDA-approved  melamine-bamboo composite or melamine-free bamboo composite (the latter is the preferred option) suitable for printing

What we do

Material Innovation:  Formulate and test bio-based composites (rivercane bamboo fibers, algae-derived resins, and plant-based binders) tuned for stiffness, toughness, and printability.

Design & Prototyping: Turn materials into manufacturable products—tableware, lifestyle goods, sport/outdoor equipment, packaging components, and architectural elements.

Collaborative Development: Co-create with brands, universities, Indigenous and regional partners to build ethical supply chains and scalable manufacturing pathways.

Flagship Initiative — Rivercane Bamboo

Reviving Southeastern rivercane, North America's only native bamboo species, as a culturally significant, fast-renewing fiber source. We’re building regionally anchored supply chains and next-gen composites that are beautiful, strong, and low-carbon—with applications spanning housewares, panels, and consumer hardgoods.
